In 2007, Ryan graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in business. Upon graduation, Ryan joined his father, James Young, in the family business learning how to be a successful headhunter for executive-level retained search in the Life Sciences. Ryan joined Apex Systems in 2010 to further develop his
recruiting prowess and sharpen his sales skills in the fast-paced, high-volume IT staffing industry. Following his time at Apex, Ryan joined Corbett Search running a full desk, engaging early-stage companies in need of top-notch revenue generating talent. In 2014, Ryan built upon his IT experience with firstPro proving himself as a successful recruiter and producer to gain an opportunity with Theoris (2017) as Sales Leader and Branch Manager of their Philadelphia office. Ryan and his father had intentions to work together again, so he could carry on the family business, but due to James' passing after a short battle with brain cancer, that dream took a different path. In 2019, Ryan created James Grey International leveraging over a decade of experience while honoring his father and carrying on his legacy.
