Ryan Whitney is the Senior Technical Program Manager at Loft Orbital. He brought over 15 years of experience in software to GWS. After a long engineering career in Seattle, Ryan followed his passion for travel abroad. He worked with Geekcorps on an initiative to promote African software development and then a USAID/Washington State University
project providing technical assistance to Afghan universities. From there, he joined the Grameen Foundation and led the implementation of their open-source microfinance solution, Mifos, in Africa, Asia and MENA. Ryan returned to the US to work with Switchfly before joining GWS in 2014. He holds a BS in Applied and Computational Mathematical Sciences from the University of Washington.
