Ryan Shields is the CEO and Founder of Indaba Group, an award-winning digital agency based in Denver, Colorado. After growing up in Cape Town, South Africa, and earning his Bachelor of Business Administration, Ryan moved to London, UK to take a Business Analyst position with VISA International. Ryan quickly fell in love with digital commerce and
took an opportunity to work with Moodia, an ecommerce development agency in London where he quickly excelled as Director of Ecommerce.
While with Moodia, Ryan consulted for a Moodia spin-off company, Approved Index, a B2B lead-generation company, which was acquired by international publisher and information provider, Reed Elsevier after 3 years. Shortly after moving to Denver, Ryan started Indaba Group, which has since doubled in growth year on year. In addition to running Indaba Group, Ryan sits on numerous advisory boards in the US, and internationally. When he’s not working in the digital world, you are likely to find him on his bike, snowboard or on the golf course with family and friends.
