Rupinder Cheema work in the new investments team. This means he spend his time finding, understanding and backing great businesses. It’s a privilege to be honest, because it allows me to get to know entrepreneurial people and get behind what makes their businesses successful. His main focus is on the consumer sector, reflecting his experience in
retail, but he get to look at all sorts of businesses.
He graduated from the LSE with a degree in Economics and then spent 8 years at KPMG. I qualified as a chartered accountant there before joining the Strategy Group, advising private equity and corporate clients on transactions. In 2004, he joined Arev, a newly formed investment boutique with a retail sector focused private equity fund. He was responsible for successfully managing through this investment portfolio which included Mountain Warehouse, Jones Bootmaker
and Duchamp.
