Runar Reistrup is a Danish serial entrepreneur. After joining the founding team at Depop as its CEO in 2013, the company went from seed stage to UK market leadership as the no 1 shopping app in the Apple App Store in less than a year, amassing 5 million users in the UK alone. In 2015 he took Depop into the US market, opening offices in New York and
quickly establishing Depop firmly with over a million users in the US by 2016. He exited Depop after the series B funding round to pursue a life abroad as angel investor.
Prior to Depop, Runar was part of the leadership team that built and sold Danish startup ZYB. The company was acquired by Vodafone Group in London for $50M in 2008. As part of the acquisition Runar joined Vodafone Group heading consumer products for Vodafone across Europe, Africa and Asia as Group Head of Mobile Products and Services.
In 2020 Runar joined talent marketplace YunoJuno as CEO.
Runar Reistrup holds a masters degree in Information Studies from the University of Aarhus, Denmark.
