Roxy Paine is an American artist whose work mirrors natural processes and tension between organic and man-made environments. They also reflect highly-detailed simulations of natural phenomena, including an ambitious series of hand wrought stainless steel trees, vitrines of mushroom and plan life in various states of decay and several large-scale
machines designed to replicate creative processes. He is currently represented by Kavi Gupta in Chicago and Berlin, and Marianne Boesky Gallery in New York.
Pain holds qualifications from the College of Santa Fe and Pratt Institute.
