My academic career started at Carnegie Mellon getting a computer science degree. While there I took a computer vision class where I thought they'd teach me about the kind of stuff we're doing now. Back in 2009 they basically just showed us how Photoshop worked, told us computer vision is hard, and sent us on our way. That led me down a
path to end up getting a PhD in neuroscience at University of Southern California to try to learn about how the brain performs the amazing tasks AI back then couldn't compete with at all. These two programs positioned me with the perfect domain expertise to create this Perforated AI.
