Dr. Weiss is an academic pathologist, practicing and teaching in the specialty of hematopathology. At the University of Utah’s ARUP Laboratories, Dr. Weiss held the position of President/Chief Operating Officer, as well as served at other times as Chief Medical Officer/Director of Laboratories, Director of Business Development, and
Director of Health Policy, External Affairs and Corporate Communication.
Since 2010 Dr. Weiss has been the Director of Faculty Outreach for the University of Utah’s Office of Technology Ventures Development, and he also has an advisory role for another University of Utah start-up DecipherGenX.
Dr. Weiss received his M.D. from Crieghton University and his M.B.A. from the University of Utah.
