Ronald Hoffman, MD, is a scientific co-founder of Tacitus Therapeutics and the Director of Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPN) Research Consortium at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York. Dr. Hoffman is also the Albert A. and Vera G. List Professor of Medicine at the Tisch Cancer Institute at Mount Sinai. His research and clinical work
concentrate on diagnosing and treating patients with MPN and on hematopoietic stem cell biology.
Dr. Hoffman has held the position of President of the American Society of Hematology and The International Society of Experimental Hematology and is the editor of the textbook Hematology Basic Principles and Practice. Dr. Hoffman held previous academic positions at Yale University, Indiana University School of Medicine, and University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, and was the vice president of research at SyStemix Inc., Palo Alto, California. Dr. Hoffman earned his MD from New York University and trained at Stanford University, California; McGill University, Montreal; and Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York.
