After completing medical school at the University of Pennsylvania Dr. Barg completed Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Hahnemann University Hospital. He then served a year as Chief Medical Resident. He was board certified in Internal Medicine in 1983.
He then joined Bortin Weiss MD Associates a suburban Philadelphia General Internal
Medicine Practice. The practice was acquired by the University of Pennsylvania in 1995.
From 1987-1995 Dr. Barg served as Medical Director of the New Ralston House Nursing Home and was board certified in Geriatrics in 1991.
In 1997 Dr Barg became a Regional Medical Director for Clinical Care Associates of the University of Pennsylvania (CCA). He then moved on to Senior Medical Director and to his current role as Executive Director of CCA.
Dr Barg is a fellow of both the American College of Physicians and the Philadelphia College of Physicians.
