Roger is the founder of Sonocent and inventor of audio note-taking – an award-winning multi-media technique which has revolutionised the education of tens of thousands of dyslexic students. A Fast50 company, Sonocent is run by Roger & his eldest son Dave, with son Tim and daughter Hannah amongst the 20 staff.
In past lives he has been a
university lecturer, a speech technology consultant, a technical lead in Hewlett Packard Research and the director of the developing-world technology initiative LLSTI. In these roles, Roger has over 35 years’ experience of technical innovation, is inventor on 13 patents and is an entrepreneurship mentor at the University of Bristol.
