Rod Macfarlane is CEO and co-founder of creative agency & product lab, MEA. Based in NZ, Sydney and Connecticut, USA, MEA creates change and communicates using traditional and digital media. MEA is passionate about mobile and has achieved nine #1 hit apps.
Previously, Rod worked in London during the late 90s dot com boom, and at Navman
where he established the working relationship between Navman’s Taiwanese parent MiTAC and Google.
Rod is a past NZ Law Society solicitor and has extensive intellectual property management and commercialisation experience including contentious licensing and management of a portfolio of more than 70 granted patents.
He is the graduate of a Bachelors of Science, Bachelors of Laws and an MBA and is the co-inventor of several granted USA and international patents.
