Throughout his 41-year career focusing on information services and consulting and systems integration, Rod Walker has demonstrated significant expertise in growing maturing entrepreneurial ventures into IT powerhouses.
Before joining LaunchPoint’s Board, Rod spent five years at Hewlett-Packard in key executive roles overseeing business
intelligence solutions and services within various HP software and consulting units.
Prior to HP, Rod served for seven years as president, chief executive officer, and chairman of the board of Knightsbridge Solutions. Under Rod’s leadership, Knightsbridge grew to be the largest privately held BI consulting firm in North America, with 700 employees and a reputation for technical and execution excellence.
In 2006, Rod led the acquisition and integration of Knightsbridge into HP. Rod also was a co-founder and senior executive of Technology Solutions Company (TSC) and a partner with Arthur Young & Company.
Rod has earned multiple awards and honors for strategic business and operational excellence, including Ernst & Young’s Illinois Entrepreneur of the Year.
He holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in computer science and a Master of Science in finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
