Robin has been tinkering and hacking ever since he took apart a Roland electronic keyboard as a child, much to the detest of his parents. This lead him to experiment with building, maintaining and repairing consumer electronics throughout his youth, until pursuing bachelor degrees in Physics and Astronomy. This wet his appetite for computational
computing and planetary modeling using Perl and IDL, eventually leading to an interest in web development and application deployment.
His teaching experience in Astronomy, Physics and Javascript was an easy pivot into technical training, where Robin excels in communicating complex technical concepts with ease. When node.js became a modern framework, it was a natural progression into exploring configuration management and deployment with tools like Puppet and Chef. In his spare time Robin moonlights as a full-stack javascript developer, networking and repair technician, and DIY tinkerer.
