Robert L. Wallace is an accomplished entrepreneur, author, business consultant and internationally known keynote speaker. He is the founder of three companies. The first company, BITHGROUP Technologies, Inc. (www.bithgroup.com) is a successful information technology services company that specializes in energy management, IT services, management
consulting, wireless engineering, biometrics, and SMS engineering. He later founded Entreteach Learning Systems, LLC (www.entreteach.com) & BITH Energy (www.bithenergy.com). Entreteach Learning Systems, LLC provides e-learning training services for entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, small businesses, and microenterprises. BITH Energy offers clients intelligent strategies, advanced information systems, and full implementation services to reduce and minimize energy consumption.
Robert earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania, his Masters of Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and was awarded a Doctorate of Humane Letters from Sojourner Douglas College. Prior to starting his own companies, Wallace worked for such corporations as IBM, DuPont, Procter & Gamble, and Westinghouse. Robert has served on transition teams for numerous Governors and Mayors. He was also appointed by the Governor of Maryland to Chair the State of Maryland Information Technology Board (ITB). The Governor later appointed him as a Commissioner on the State’s Advanced Technology Commission (Pappas Commission) and the Minority Business Reform Commission. Robert currently Co Chairs the Commerce Committee for the Maryland/Liberia Sister State Agreement. Mr. Wallace serves on numerous boards in the private sector as well. Some of these boards include the Baltimore Workforce Investment Board, the Tech Council of Maryland, the Kennedy Krieger Institute, and the Baltimore Center Stage Playhouse.
He has authored numerous articles and books on entrepreneurship, wealth creation strategies, intrapreneurship, and urban economic development. His books include Black Wealth Through Black Entrepreneurship (Duncan & Duncan, 1993), Black Wealth: Your Road to Small Business Success (John Wiley & Sons, 2000), Soul Food: 52 Principles of Entrepreneurial Success (Perseus Books, 2000), Strategic Alliances: An Entrepreneur’s Guide To Joint Ventures And Alliances (Dearborn Publishers, Fall 2004), and The Ssese Principles: Guidelines For Creating Wealth Through Faith (AuthorHouse, Spring 2005). Robert’s next book project includes The Color of a Billion and CRASH: Business Lessons From the Emerging World.
He is married to Carolyn W. Green. They live with their five children in Howard County, Maryland.
