Robert is an information security, information technology and homeland security expert with over 25 years of experience. As the CTO and Co-founder of Wickr, he leads the innovation and design of the corporation, provides core algorithm design and co-authored the patents for Wickr’s underlying technology. Robert is the founder and director of the
Center for Information Protection (CIP), a computer forensics and cyber security research lab at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). He is also the former director and a founding faculty member in the Information Technology Program where he certified NJIT as an NSA Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAE-IA). Prior to NJIT, Robert held leadership positions in the private sector where he lead the innovation, research and development for several technology companies.
He also led the design and development of the first intelligent Intrusion Prevention System (i-IPS) to mitigate threats based on correlating, learning, and adapting to threat behavior for a U.S. Army contract. Robert holds a Master of Science and PhD in Computer Science, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Homeland Security and a Ph.D (ABD) degree in Business Administration – Homeland Security.
