Robert Shand is the Chief Operating Officer of Blue Sky Alternative Investments Limited and sits as Director on several boards of Blue Sky’s Private Equity investee companies.
Prior to joining Blue Sky in 2010, Robert worked for Bain and Company, a leading global management consulting company for six years. Robert spent the first three years
based in their Sydney office, before working overseas in Bain’s London, Tokyo and Johannesburg offices.
During his time at Bain, Robert consulted to a large number of leading Australian and international companies across a broad range of industries, including media, telecommunications, retail, mining, property and energy.
Robert also spent a significant period of time involved in Bain’s private equity group, advising a range of international private equity. This work was focused on providing due diligence support to these funds, but also included helping in strategy development at their investee companies.
Prior to joining Bain, Robert attended the University of Queensland where he graduated with first class honours in both Commerce and Law.
