Robert S. Cubbin has served as a director of FirstMerit since 2013 and is a member of the Audit Committee. Previously, he was a member of the board of directors of Citizens Republic Bancorp, Inc. from 2008 until 2013. Mr. Cubbin served in the insurance field and has extensive public company experience qualifying him as a financial expert for purposes of serving on the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
