Mr. Robinson serves as Managing Director at Hyper Ventures, an international organization that provides strategic leadership, financial resources, and operational support to early-stage companies. Its approach is to identify, nurture, and promote disruptive technologies that significantly enhance the quality of life.
Mr. Robinson offers over 20
years of direct experience as an investor, entrepreneur, and executive of both successful early-stage and mature companies.
Mr. Robinson previously founded Virtual Solutions, Inc. and, as Chairman and CEO, led the organization to provide enterprise crowdsourcing and information capture services to state governments and businesses via its 15,000+ member Internet-based workforce. Virtual Solutions was recently acquired by Lionbridge Technologies (NASDAQ:LIOX).
Mr. Robinson also led engineering departments at EMC (formerly Captiva Software Corporation) that provided enterprise content management solutions to government, healthcare and financial services customers.
Mr. Robinson began his career at Cisco Systems (formerly Scientific Atlanta – Government Products Division). Here he developed anti-submarine warfare solutions for the Department of Defense, including real-time embedded software to collect and display SONAR information from U.S. nuclear submarines.
Mr. Robinson holds a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of California, San Diego Center for Cognitive Science. His studies include graduate course work in artificial intelligence, neural networks, and expert systems.
