Robert T. Parrinelli III, Esq., widely known as Robert Parrinelli, is a New York trial attorney and the managing partner of Appell & Parrinelli. For more than two decades, he has focused his legal work on personal injury, construction accidents, medical malpractice, and wrongful death matters. Through steady dedication and consistent advocacy,

he has represented thousands of clients and helped secure numerous multi-million-dollar settlements. His career reflects a long-term commitment to guiding individuals and families during some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

Robert Parrinelli was raised in the greater New York metropolitan area, where his early interests and experiences helped shape his eventual path toward a legal career. He attended Hofstra University and completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Management in 2000. During his undergraduate years, he was also a member of the Men’s Division I Lacrosse Team. His leadership and involvement on the team resulted in his selection as captain during his senior year. In that same year, he earned a place in the U.S.I.L.A. North-South All-Star Game, an event recognizing top collegiate lacrosse athletes across the country.

Following his graduation, he continued his education at Hofstra University School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2003. His time in law school solidified his interest in litigation and helped prepare him for the demanding work of trial practice.

After his admission to the New York State Bar in 2004, he began his legal career in New York City as a trial associate. In these early years, he worked under the mentorship of an experienced attorney who guided him in trial preparation, case strategy, and courtroom practice. This period offered him the opportunity to learn the day-to-day responsibilities of litigation work, including client communication, legal research, and case development.

As the professional relationship between him and his mentor developed, it grew into a working partnership. That partnership later led to the formation of Appell & Parrinelli, where he became a named and managing partner. This marked a significant new stage in his career and allowed him to broaden the scope of his practice while continuing to focus on helping clients pursue justice after severe injury or loss.

As managing partner of Appell & Parrinelli, based in New York, Robert oversees a firm dedicated to representing clients facing life-changing injuries or losses. The practice covers a wide range of cases, including motor vehicle accidents, construction and worksite injuries, premises liability matters, product defects, wrongful death claims, commercial property and casualty disputes, and medical malpractice issues.

His approach to case selection is careful and deliberate. He chooses cases selectively to ensure that he can devote the necessary time and attention to every client. This approach allows him to focus on detailed preparation and consistent communication, giving each matter the resources needed to achieve the strongest possible outcome.

Over the course of its work, Appell & Parrinelli has represented thousands of clients and recovered millions of dollars in verdicts, settlements, and arbitration awards. Among the firm’s notable results is a $6.5 million settlement for a child who sustained serious facial injuries due to a defective radiator in a premises accident.

Robert's experience also includes work in product liability and commercial litigation. In one significant case, the firm secured a $6.3 million verdict related to a defective food product that caused contamination and substantial business interruption.

The firm has achieved meaningful results in construction accident cases as well, including a $3.3 million recovery in one matter and $3.1 million in another. In a medical malpractice case involving a failure to diagnose a cardiac arrest condition, the firm obtained $2.7 million. Additional significant outcomes include a $3.1 million settlement in a premises accident case and a $2.3 million settlement in a motor vehicle accident matter.

Throughout more than twenty years in practice, he has worked across nearly all areas of personal injury and civil trial law. His experience includes motor vehicle accidents involving cars, trucks, and buses, as well as construction site injuries connected to scaffolds, ladders, trenches, and other hazards.

His practice also includes premises liability cases arising from unsafe conditions, snow and ice accidents, and structural failures. In medical malpractice matters, he has represented individuals affected by surgical errors, misdiagnoses, birth injuries, and nursing home negligence. His work further extends into product liability, commercial property disputes, toxic exposure claims, lead poisoning matters, labor discrimination, sexual harassment, and defamation.

Robert T. Parrinelli III, Esq., is admitted to practice law in all New York State Courts. He is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He maintains active membership in the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers.

He places strong importance on mentoring younger attorneys and regularly shares guidance with those entering the profession. His focus includes ethics, client respect, and the personal responsibility required in trial work. Beyond the legal field, he is also involved in community leadership. As a lifelong athlete, he continues to coach youth lacrosse and other sports. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Youth Lacrosse Program in his hometown, contributing to the development of young athletes.

Outside his legal practice, he is active in long-distance running and charitable involvement. He completed the New York City Marathon in support of the Travis Roy Foundation, which helps individuals affected by spinal cord injuries. His philanthropic contributions also include ongoing support for Hofstra University and participation in programs benefiting local schools and community groups.

Robert Parrinelli's professional accomplishments are closely tied to his personal values. As the father of four children, he works to balance his responsibilities in law with a strong commitment to family. Running and fitness remain a part of his daily routine, reflecting the perseverance and discipline that continue to guide both his personal life and his work.
