Robert is the son of Newcomb and Company founder, Charles A. "Bo" Newcomb. He began his career at Newcomb and Company after graduating from Hampden-Sydney College in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in managerial economics. He worked as a purchasing manager, sales engineer and general manager before becoming President in 1991. He took the
helm as Chairman of Newcomb and Company in 2000.
