Bob joined Astute as CEO in January 2013. He brings over 35 years of high-technology senior management experience to Astute. Before joining Astute, Bob was CEO at Crossing Automation, a leading designer and manufacturer of semiconductor fab and tool automation equipment that was sold to Brooks Automation in the fall of 2012. Prior to this, Bob
spent eight years at semiconductor manufacturing equipment firm Mattson Technology, where he was ultimately promoted to President and COO. Before Mattson, Bob was President and COO at Microbar, a privately-held manufacturer of liquid chemical delivery and management systems for the semiconductor industry. Additional senior level positions included roles at Cymer, Watkins Johnson Corporation, Atkis Corporation, and Peak Systems. Bob earned his BSBA and MBA degrees at University of Massachusetts at Amherst from the Isenberg School of Management.
