Dr. Lemmon joined Intarcia in 2001 after a career of twenty years at Sanofi Pasteur. His work within the industry has spanned research, product development, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, and quality operations.
During his career, he conducted research that led to the development of improved meningococcal, influenza, and pertussis vaccines,
and the first protein-polysaccharide vaccine for the prevention of life threatening Hemophilus influenza disease in children.
As Director of International Regulatory Affairs he built and managed systems to efficiently license and distribute vaccines worldwide. He has designed and implemented Quality System solutions that enhance productivity while assuring regulatory compliance throughout manufacturing operations.
Dr. Lemmon earned his B.A. and M.S. degrees at Miami University and his Ph.D. in Microbiology at The University of Georgia. He pursued postdoctoral research within the Department of Biochemistry at Purdue University, and has held a position of Adjunct Professor in the School of Pharmacy at Temple University.
