Robert Koch is a Managing Director at NGEN and works out of the Silicon Valley office. Prior to joining the fund in 2004, he was a serial entrepreneur, having worked with nascent technology companies throughout his career. Since graduating from Vanderbilt University in 1984 with a degree in chemical engineering, Mr. Koch has founded, managed and
become an active angel investor and board member for numerous start-up companies.
Mr. Koch founded Impact Interasia, a marketing and sales firm distributing U.S.-made semiconductor capital equipment into the Asian market during the late 80’s and 90’s. Subsequently, Koch co-founded and served as CEO of Supercritical Systems, a semiconductor process equipment company that was ultimately acquired by Tokyo Electron.
Mr. Koch holds board seats at Solaria and Venture Vehicles and is a board observer at SolFocus.
