Robert Jelski joined the Electranova team as a Venture Partner in 2012. Until recently and since 2000, Robert was Global Sector Head and Partner within 3i’s Venture Team focusing on Electronics, Semiconductors and Advanced Technologies with a portfolio of over 100 companies in Europe, USA and Asia.
During his time at 3i, Robert participated in
over 30 new investments four, of which, were 3i’s first Mainland Chinese ventures. His cleantech investments included Smart Fuel Cells (now floated in Germany as EFOY Fuel cells), Amperex Technology, a Hong-Kong based Lithium-Ion Battery Company later acquired by TDK and Enocean, a German energy harvesting start-up amongst others.
Prior to that, he was Divisional President and General Manager within Danaher and Eurotherm (now part of Invensys) in the UK and France.
He started his career in HP’s R&D department and thereafter became National Semiconductor’s European Telecommunications Marketing manager.
He holds a BSc in Electronic Engineering, an MSc in Telecommunications & Control and an MBA from INSEAD. In addition to his native English, he is a fluent French and German speaker.
