Dr. Robert Graham President and CEO Dr. Robert Graham is Chairman and CEO of Ensyn Corporation. He is also a Director of Ivanhoe Energy Inc. (TSX: IE, NASDAQ: IVAN), a public company that is implementing Ensyn’s technology for upgrading heavy oil in the Canadian oils sands and in other heavy oil fields throughout the world. He is Canada’s
pre-eminent authority in his field of applied engineering (fast thermal conversion), and has been working on the commercial development of Ensyn’s RTP™ biomass refining and petroleum upgrading technologies since the early 1980′s. This work culminated in the development of commercial RTP™ applications in the late 1980′s in the wood industry, and the establishment of Ensyn Renewables Inc. to capitalize on commercial projects for this business. In 1997, Dr. Graham initiated the application of Ensyn’s commercial RTP™ technology in the petroleum industry. This business application enjoyed rapid early success and was sold to Ivanhoe Energy in 2005. In 2008, Dr. Graham guided Ensyn to form a Joint Venture with UOP, a Honeywell company, to market, engineer, and commercialize renewable energy systems worldwide based on Ensyn’s RTP technology. Dr. Graham sits on the Management Committee of the JV, which operates under the name “Envergent Technologies Inc.” Dr. Graham has published over 60 works in technical and trade journals, and has been granted more than 30 patents relating to the upgrading of petroleum and the conversion of wood and other biomass to chemicals and fuels. He obtained a B.Sc. from Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario and an M. Eng and Ph.D. from the University of Western Ontario, London.
