Robert Capizzi is Senior Global Scientific Advisor at SFJ Pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Robert L. Capizzi has 40 years of experience in cancer drug development from bench research through phase I, II, and III clinical trials through post marketing experience.
These activities have been carried through in academia as a Howard Hughes Investigator at
Yale University, Chief of Oncology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Director of the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Wake Forest University, and Chair of the Department of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College.
He served as initial executive vice president and chief medical officer for 2 startup companies, which were subsequently purchased by larger Pharma post FDA drug approval.
Bob has authored/supervised numerous peer-reviewed publications, INDs, and 7 successful NDAs as well as consulting on many others.
He has served on the Board of Directors of ASCO, AACR, Pharma companies and research agencies such as NCI and ACS. He has been a member and chair of FDA/ODAC and is a designated ASCO STATESMAN/FELLOW.
