Robert Bergmann is a Managing Partner and Co-founder of Bregal Partners. He has more than two decades of experience in the private equity industry and has worked closely with many public and private middle-market companies.
His investment focus is targeted primarily toward investments in the consumer, food & retail, and healthcare industries.
Mr. Bergmann has extensive corporate governance experience. He currently serves on the boards of OmniForce LLC, US Community Behavioral LLC, and Aqua Terra Water Management LP, and he previously served as a director of Covenant Care, LLC, Den-Mat Holdings, LLC, Garden Fresh Holdings, Inc., Orion ICG, LLC, Bravo Sports, Autoland, Inc., Salton, Inc., Ross Aviation, LLC, and Muzak LP.
Prior to founding Bregal Partners, Mr. Bergmann served as a Senior Partner of Centre Partners Management LLC and led the firm's Los Angeles office. He joined Centre in 1989 and during his tenure, the firm invested over $3 billion in equity capital. Prior thereto, Mr. Bergmann worked in the investment banking department of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
Mr. Bergmann holds a B.S. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
