Robert C. Ackerman was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer—Towers and Small Cells in September 2017, responsible for management of all tower and small cell operational groups. Prior to this appointment, he served as Area President since 2002. Bob joined Crown Castle in August 1998 and has over 20 years of experience in the
telecom industry. Before joining Crown Castle, he served as a Deputy Commissioner for the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal. Bob holds a BA from the College of Saint Rose in Albany.
