Robert A. Ferris is President of Celtic Capital LLC, responsible for all of the firm’s investment advisory activities.
Previously, Mr. Ferris was a Managing Director of CI Capital Partners LLC (formerly Caxton-Iseman Capital Inc.), a New York City-based private equity investment firm affiliated with Caxton Associates LLC. From 1981 to 1997, he
was a partner with Sequoia Associates, a private equity firm, and one of the founders of Sequoia.
At both firms, he was directly involved in the acquisition and management of a diverse group of manufacturing, distribution, and service companies, including, to name but a few, Anteon International Inc. (taken public and sold to General Dynamics Corp.); Timberjack Inc. (taken public and sold to Rauma Repola of Finland); Champion Road Machinery (taken public and sold to John Deere & Co.); and Ply Gem Industries Inc. Prior to Sequoia, Mr. Ferris was a Senior Executive Officer with Arcata Corporation and was an attorney with a Wall Street law firm.
Mr. Ferris currently serves on the Board of Directors of CoVant and Ply Gem Industries Inc. He graduated from Boston College and received his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham Law School. He also attended Harvard Business School.
Mr. Ferris has served on the Boards of Directors of numerous public and private companies and also on the boards of various charitable organizations, including the Board of Trustees of Fordham University and the Board of Overseers at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University.
