Robb Stein is an entrepreneur and investor who leads several companies and has spent more than twenty years working in real estate and business development. Raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, he built his professional path while maintaining strong ties to the city where he grew up. His work has focused on building and managing companies while also
supporting community efforts. Over time, he has combined business leadership with service through nonprofit involvement, volunteer work, and charitable contributions.
Robb's primary role is as the principal owner of the Cincinnati Byrider dealership. The national dealership network is known for selling inspected and reconditioned vehicles and providing financing programs designed for customers who may not qualify for traditional auto loans. The in-house financing model helps individuals establish or rebuild their credit through reporting to major credit bureaus. Across the country, more than 1 million customers have chosen Byrider when purchasing vehicles and seeking flexible financing.
In addition to this role, Robert Stein serves as President of Derojo, Inc., a Cincinnati-based company that operates across several business areas. The organization manages auto dealerships, subprime finance companies, real estate development projects, and a reinsurance company. Its approach often focuses on businesses operating in specialized markets that may benefit from additional investment and improved management strategies.
Robb also serves as Chairman of Card Sound Reinsurance Group, a company that underwrites specific insurance risks that may yield higher returns in certain tax environments. Alongside these responsibilities, he is also involved in the automotive retail and financing sector through another major venture. Robert Stein, of Cincinnati, is the President and owner of Alford Motors, Inc., recognized as one of the largest subprime auto dealer groups. The business combines vehicle sales with financing services designed for individuals who cannot secure loans through banks or conventional auto lenders.
Outside of his professional work, Robb Stein has remained deeply involved in community service and philanthropic activities in Cincinnati. He served for nearly ten years on the Board of Directors of StarShine Hospice at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. The hospice program provides palliative care and support to children and young adults with serious illnesses, helping families make meaningful use of the time they have together.
Stein also served for 4 years on the board of Living Arrangements for the Developmentally Disabled, an organization that supports adults with developmental disabilities. Through housing, employment training, and community programs, the organization helps individuals live more independently and participate fully in daily life.
His volunteer work has also included long-term involvement with the American Heart Association. Over the years, he helped establish the organization’s Young Professional committee and contributed to leadership initiatives that raised awareness and raised funds.
In addition, he served as a former co-chair of Fall Feast Cincinnati and spent more than a decade on its steering committee. The annual Thanksgiving event organizes over a thousand volunteers to provide meals, coats, and support services for thousands of people in need throughout the city.
Robb Stein earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in Bloomington. In his personal time, he enjoys golf, skiing, boating, and outdoor activities. He has also taken part in endurance challenges, including completing the 29029 Everesting Challenge in Jackson Hole and later summiting Mount Rainier.
