Rob Williams has recently been developing a retail sporting goods brand, Riders Only, focused on the bicycling industry. Just prior, he was a full-time contractor at Atlantis Computing managing the team responsible for the brand development strategy delivering creative design, marketing, and social engagement, plus a robust marketing ops system.
With over 20 years of experience in branding, marketing and advertising, Rob held the position of Chief Marketing Officer at a bootstrapped startup, Pilixo, and 15+ year software company, SpectorSoft (now Veriato), building results-driven marketing organizations and architecting brand strategies to deliver measurable results in both corporate and consumer markets.
Prior to that, Rob was VP, Global Brand Development at Kaseya to lead the overall brand and creative direction, inbound and consumer marketing efforts, social strategy and evolution of the product UI and user experience. His tenure culminated with the acquisition of Kaseya by the private equity firm, Insight Venture Partners.
Rob was also VP, Sales & Marketing, Business Development for Software FX, Inc., a data visualization component software maker for application developers. During his tenure there, he also worked in the same capacity for spinoff start-ups AireWeb, a mobile application development solution, and PowerGadgets, a data visualization widgets tool leveraging Microsoft Windows PowerShell.
Before Software FX, he was the Creative Director of Green Advertising, a division of Pace Communications based in New York and part of the WPP Group (NASDAQ: WPPGY) of companies.
Rob started his career with his own design agency, KROW, Inc. before joining the catalog division of Mark Group brands (Boston Proper, Charles Keath, and Mark, Fore & Strike), a multi-channel retailer specializing in women’s fashion/apparel, accessories and home furnishings. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Ringling College of Art + Design in Sarasota, Florida.
