Rob Jacobson is Chief Content Officer where he oversees all strategies, negotiations and program scheduling for VUBIQUITY’s transactional and subscription platforms across more than 30 countries around the world. In this role, Rob has spearheaded the company’s content strategies on behalf of such global distribution giants as Verizon and AT&T
in the US, Televisa in Mexico, SFR in France, Turkcell in Turkey and VTR in Chile. In doing so, Rob established partnerships with all of the foremost content suppliers in Hollywood including all the major studios as well as CBS, HBO, Miramax and others.
Prior to joining VUBIQUITY, Rob served as President and Chief Executive Officer of iN DEMAND Networks from 2004 through 2009. While at iN Demand, Rob established several innovations in the arena of transactional television programming including oversight of cable’s launch of video on demand, Howard Stern on Demand and the creation of cable’s out-of-market sports packages, NBA LEAGUE PASS, MLB EXTRA INNINGS AND NHL CENTER ICE. Rob also created cable’s first 24/7 HD linear channel, MOJO and won multiple Emmy awards for Interactive Sports Programming for the innovated NASCAR IN-CAR package. Finally, Rob created cable’s SVOD service VUTOPIA.
