Rob is a seasoned internet professional with over 20 years of experience in technology, finance, marketing and operations. Rob is the founder & CEO of DealYard.com, a leading internet retailer of brand name products at
discounted prices. DealYard has been ranked as one of the fastest growing e-retailers by Internet Retailer and ranked as one of the fastest growing private companies in America by INC5000. He is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the company, as well as its operational, technical and financial activities. Previously Mr. Heller was a Founder, Director and CFO of MaterialNet.com, the first reverse-auction, buyer-centric business-to-business e-marketplace for raw materials. MaterialNet, which Forbes had called one of the "best-of-the-best B2Bs”, was sold to Perfect Commerce in 2002.
Prior to MaterialNet.com, Mr. Heller served as Portfolio Manager at Concord International Investments, where he co-managed a $500 million portfolio and as senior accountant at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Heller received a B.S. from the University of Arizona and an M.B.A. in Finance, Economics and International Business from New York University's Stern School of Business, where he graduated with honors.
