As Visiant's chief operating officer, Rob Galan manages the company's front- and back-office business process outsourcing solutions, technical operations, and operations management services.
Prior to joining the Visiant team, Rob served as a vice president of operations within Optum, managing call and claim centers, utilization
management, eligibility, training and quality. In addition to launching a concierge-focused service model, he was a founding member of OptumCare, a division focused on helping healthcare providers deliver quality care via integrated delivery networks.
Previously, as director of operations for Massachusetts-based insurance company Tufts Health Plans, Rob oversaw call and claim centers, as well as training and quality. He held various operations management roles in his seven years at Oxford Health Plans, now part of United Healthcare. While there, Rob ran call and claim centers, worked to integrate acquisitions and launch satellite offices in New York, Connecticut and Florida.
Throughout his more than 20 years in the healthcare industry, Rob has earned a number of Stevie Awards for excellence in sales and customer service.
When he's not working, Rob enjoys spending time with his kids – attending their softball, baseball and basketball games. He serves on several local organizations' boards of directors for youth programs and veteran needs. To honor veterans and show his appreciation for their sacrifices, Rob participates in local fundraisers and assists with facility improvements.
Rob earned a bachelor's degree in finance and international business from Fairfield University.
