Rob Amster is Cisco's Director of Contact Center Sales for the Americas. He is responsible for the sale of Cisco's Customer Care Solutions portfolio within North and Latin America. In his 8 years in this role, Cisco's contact center sales have enjoyed perennial year over year growth – the last four years growing double digits. This
growth has also led to Cisco being considered the market share leader in the North American Contact Center market. Rob started his career at Cisco in 2009 as a business development manager in the Collaboration Architecture group. Prior to Cisco, Rob spent 24 years at Avaya, Lucent Technologies and AT&T including roles in sales, sales management, pre-sales, and product development. He started his career at AT&T Bell Labs where he spent 9 years in product development and engineering - including work on early versions of AT&T's (now Avaya's) ACD and CTI products. During the next 15 years at AT&T, Lucent and Avaya, Rob held a variety of sales, pre-sales and leadership roles across the US and UK markets focused on Contact Center, Unified Communications and Emerging Technologies. Rob holds a MS in Computer Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Rutgers College, Rutgers University. He resides in Readington Twp, NJ with this wife and two children.
