Richard P. Ramirez has extensive experience in media and consumer businesses both domestic and international.
In addition to his work with Zumbox, Mr. Ramirez has managed the development, launch and operation of businesses in online video, online music, marketing, social/community, traffic information and logistics, consumer services, and
online education, working with companies such as media giants NBC/Universal, Greater Media, Univision and Viacom/CBS, to early stage ventures including Veoh Networks, Ruckus Network, Traffic.com, Cardean Learning Group, K12, ThinkPassenger, Voxy (an award winning web and mobile platform for learning) and Infomous.
Mr. Ramirez maintains an active consulting practice advising private equity andventure capital funds and their portfolio companies in strategic analysis for market identification and business building and has served as a long term advisor to Shelter Capital and Starvest Partners.
Ramirez is a graduate of Boston College’s Carroll School of Management, where he earned a BS in Finance. He attended on a full athletic scholarship, earning varsity letters in football. Ramirez is the current President of the Boston College Varsity Club, Chairman of the Boston College Hall of Fame Selection Committee and is a member of the Advisory Board of the St. Paul School in Wellesley, MA.
