Richard serves as the vice president, product strategy for Asia Pacific and EMEA and leads the planning, readiness and delivery for the product portfolio in the region. He re-joined Ellucian in October 2014 and prior to that had developed over 18 years of experience in systems and solutions provision to the higher education community in roles
including global lead for student experience and director for higher education at Oracle. In his previous roles during his first 12 years at Ellucian he covered vice president for international product strategy, general manager of E2AP business development, and director of European, Middle East & Internationalisation solution centres. Over that period Richard has had close involvement in many working groups and strategic developments to help define and develop new processes, strategies and innovations for the higher education community as well as presenting higher education-focused ideas and developments at conferences around the world. Richard is a graduate of the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) where he received an honours degree in Medicinal Chemistry and went on to study for a Master’s in Computing Science at Staffordshire University.
