As Director of Engineering and Lead Software Architect, Richard Beeson is responsible for the overall PI System Architecture and Product Aspect Teams including Security, Quality, Documentation/Localization, Setup/Installation, Managed PI and Project Management.
Richard began working for OSIsoft in 1990 as a Software Engineer developing
the company’s first PC and UNIX based products, PI API and PI PC (precursor to PI DataLink.) Richard was also an instrumental part of the team that designed and developed PI3. After leading the development of OSIsoft’s ECHO, Sigmafine and Analysis Framework products through 2004 , Richard served as the Chairman of the Technical Steering Committee, responsible for creating and maintaining the Company’s Product Development Vision and Roadmap. Richard graduated from UC Berkeley in Chemical Engineering.
