Rich became the sixth president and chief executive officer of BCG in January 2013. Based in New York and Beijing, he has been on the firm’s Executive Committee since 2006.
Before becoming CEO, Rich was BCG’s chairman for North and South America since 2009 and head of the New York Metro office system starting in 2000. His client work has focused
on innovation, strategy, and large-scale transformation in the health care and consumer sectors. In 2009, Consulting magazine named him one of the industry's most influential consultants.
Prior to joining BCG in 1988, Rich worked as a process development engineer and group leader at Procter & Gamble. He holds an MBA with high distinction from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar, and a bachelor's degree summa cum laude in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan.
