Mr. Ren Ran joined PINTEC in April 2016 and has served as director and vice president of decision science. He has served as their chief scientist since January 2018, currently leading a team of data scientists and engineers building machine learning quantitative models and overseeing their big data platform “Data Lake.” Mr. Ren also leads their
personal installment lending business.
Prior to joining their company, Mr. Ren worked at Capital One Financial for over five years from October 2010 to March 2016, where he served in variety of different credit analytics positions, including head of business analytics for Capital One Labs, Capital One’s internal innovation incubator. Before joining Capital One, Mr. Ren co-founded Voicelever, a Seattle-based voice recognition and wearable hardware startup, in 2009.
Mr. Ren obtained his master’s degree in electrical engineering from Binghamton University in 2010 and his bachelor’s degree, also in electrical engineering, from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2007.
