Ray King is Managing Director of Sovereign Investment Research, a specialist alternatives investment advisory firm, which he founded in 2000.
Ray has worked in the superannuation and investments industry for more than 20 years. He joined Towers Perrin in 1990 as an Asset Consulting Manager. In 1994 he joined Gary Weaven to set up Industry Fund
Services (IFS), where he was responsible for the development of its asset consulting, funds management and advisory businesses, and was the lead adviser to many large industry superannuation funds. Ray was also a Partner of Mercer heading their Global Alternatives Boutique in APAC from 2012 to 2015. Ray was the founding Chairperson of the Australian Chapter of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) in 2000. Ray is a graduate of Monash University with an Honours Degree in Economics.
