Ravi Nookala has been President, Sony Mobile Communications (USA), since January 1, 2013. In addition to this position, he also holds the title of Vice President, Customer Unit, North America, and is a member of the Board of Directors of Sony Canada.
Mr. Nookala had been Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Sony Canada, since 2012, where
he was responsible for driving both sales and marketing strategy. Before adding the sales functions to his resume, he was Senior Vice President of Marketing from 2005, overseeing product marketing, marketing communications and online. Mr. Nookala began his career at Sony Canada in 1998 as Marketing Manager and, in 2002, was promoted to the position of Group Marketing Manager, Digital Imaging and IT.
Between 1994 and 1998, he was instrumental in transforming Sony’s Indian operations into one of Sony Corporation’s most critical overseas operations. Mr. Nookala began his Sony career in 1991 at Sony Gulf in Dubai, where he devised a marketing and channel strategy to maximize the brand and sales for Sony across 20 countries in the region.
