Rasheed oversees TNTP's work with senior district leaders and their teams to develop and implement academic strategies that improve student performance across their systems.
Prior to joining TNTP, Rasheed served as Network Superintendent for Boston Public Schools, where he led more than 5,000 students and directly supervised 15 principals
and supported their leadership teams. Rasheed began his career as a science and technology teacher before serving as Dean of Students at a large, public high school in Cambridge, MA. Later, he became a founding administrator at a Boston public middle school, and then Founding Headmaster at Boston’s Urban Science Academy, where he substantially raised graduation rates while closing achievement gaps and achieved some of the highest graduation rates for special education students in the district.
Rasheed holds a BA in biology from Yale University, as well as a master’s degree in teaching and curriculum and a doctorate in education leadership from Harvard University.
