I started my career in London with financial media group Euromoney before moving to Hong Kong where I was recruited by ASIFMA, the Asian arm of the world’s most influential advocacy group for the financial industry. I subsequently left the financial sector to join Control Risks, a prominent international risk consulting firm. As a senior member of
the business intelligence team in Singapore, I oversaw 100s of business intelligence projects, increased the revenue generated by existing clients and single-handedly brought in the firm’s biggest client in South-east Asia. In 2015, I identified a gap in the business intelligence market and started my own venture to fill it. I raised US$6m to build Datarama and led the company to become one of the most recognised and successful RegTech start-ups in Asia. Since 2019, I was also a Senior Advisor at RIMM Sustainability, an innovative ESG platform designed to support organisations of all sizes on their sustainability journey. Since exiting both companies last year, I advised a variety of clients on issues ranging from business-politics and ESG to corporate transformation and innovation.
