Randy Rowland, a Partner at Medina Capital, has 18 years of experience in the technology industry. Randy is responsible for sourcing potential investment opportunities and providing strategic guidance to Medina Capital’s portfolio companies with product development, operations, and business development.
Prior to joining Medina Capital, Randy
served as Senior Director of Cloud Platform Services at VMware where he led key initiatives to evolve VMware’s ”as a Service” strategy focused primarily on Cloudfoundry and vCloud Services.
While at Terremark, Randy was the SVP of Product Development and guided Terremark into the emerging cloud computing industry by leading the development and launch of Terremark’s Enterprise Cloud service offering. He also provided overall direction and leadership of Terremark’s hosting and cloud services business unit and served as its General Manager for a period of time. Randy’s duties also included serving as a company spokesperson to the investment community, industry analysts and industry trade show events.
Prior to joining Terremark, Randy was responsible for Product Development and Sales Engineering at Data Return, a managed services provider that was ultimately acquired by Terremark. At Data Return, Randy led the development of many successful service offerings including Infinistructure, the industry’s first enterprise-class virtualized hosting offering. Randy began his professional career as an Advanced Systems Engineer for Compucom attaining several industry certifications as an IT engineer.

Randy received his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.
