Raj Basi serves as Chief Executive Officer at Evolution Midstream. He has more than 20 years of legal, business, and management experience in natural resources industries. Prior to co-founding Evolution, he served as Co-Chair of the multistate Environmental Practice Group at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, P.C., a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based
regional law firm. At Buchanan, Raj helped lead the firm's environmental attorneys in all media of compliance, enforcement and due diligence. From 2005-2012, Raj served as senior counsel for the Williams Companies, Inc., where he led environmental legal and regulatory efforts for the midstream, power and discontinued operations business units. In 2010, he started the company’s legal office in the Northeast, with primary responsibility for all operational and transactional legal issues in the Marcellus and Utica shale plays.
