Rafael is a serial entrepreneur and computer scientist with over 20 years of experience in deep-tech.
At the age of 13, he founded an ISP that caught the attention of a large internet group and was ultimately acquired four years later. In 2004, Rafael co-founded a London-based online marketplace, similar to Airbnb, and led it through rapid growth
and his second exit. Prior to Azion, his work on the Linux kernel, device drivers and other open source projects powered the world’s largest point-to-point wireless network and other tech giants around the world.
He dropped his Computer Science degree to pursue entrepreneurship full-time, later earning a BBA and an executive program in Sales & Marketing at Columbia University's School of Business.
Rafael is an active LP in VC funds and startup incubators.
