Michael has a track record that encompasses science, business and entrepreneurship.
He has a PhD in Biophysics from the Weizmann Institute of Science, and was a research scientist at Cornell University and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the US.
Prior to co-founding Elloria, Michael held several top executive positions in various
companies, as well as spearheading private ventures and businesses.
His previous management positions included VP at Ampal (Bank Hapoalim), CEO of TaycoPharma-Clal (healthcare distributors), Hila Dental Health Institutes, and VP Business Development at Isolab, a US diagnostics company that was sold to Perkin-Elmer.
Michael was and is involved in various private entrepreneurial business activities. He was co-founder and CEO of Libit Cardiac Health Institutes, Israel’s first private healthcare institute for preventive treatment and rehabilitation of patients with cardiac conditions.
He is also an entrepreneur and investor in several real estate projects. He holds and has held several board positions in hi-tech and health related businesses.
In addition to his business activities, Michael is one of the leading authorities in Israel on entrepreneurial education. He was Professor of Entrepreneurship and Management of Innovation at the Swinburne University of Technology in Australia.
He served as the Academic Director of the ISEMI – the Institute for the Study of Entrepreneurship & Management of Innovation. He also lectures frequently on entrepreneurship and innovation.
