Based in Delhi (Noida), India, Premal Mehta is the Chief of Operations and Development for Asia Risk Centre India.
Premal runs the product development operations in India and his focus and uses his business, technical and operations experience in creating cutting-edge risk quantification products and solutions and engaging with ARC clients in
India developing new solutions.
Premal brings with him more than 20 years of experience spanning the insurance, risk management and technology & engineering industries. In the early 1990’s he co-founded RMSI, a leading provider of Risk Management, Geo-Spatial solutions and Data engineering services, as a Joint Venture with Risk Management Solutions (RMS). At RMSI he led various functions including operations, business development and client engagement.
Premal was the Country Manager (India) at Torus Insurance where he scaled up the India Operations of Torus Insurance from 20 to more than 100 employees, ensuring smooth service delivery across the Operations, Actuary, Catastrophe Modeling, Risk Engineering and Finance groups.
Premal holds a Master of Science in Civil and Structural Engineering from Stanford University (USA), a Master of Business Administration (MBA-Finance) from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore and a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India. Premal was awarded the Gold Medal by The Association of Banks, Singapore as well as the Ernst & Young award for most outstanding MBA student at NTU in 2008.
